Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, combine shredded coconut with sweetened condensed milk. Stir well until all the coconut is coated.
- Use your hands or a spoon to scoop and form small mounds of the coconut mixture, approximately 1 inch in diameter. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Cover the mounds with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
Coating
- Melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 30-second increments until smooth.
- Remove the mounds from the fridge. Dip each mound into melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated.
- Place the coated mounds back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Add additional toppings if desired, then refrigerate again for about 15-20 minutes until set.
Serving
- Once the chocolate has hardened, slice the Mounds Bar, serve, and enjoy with family and friends!
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Freeze individually wrapped for longer storage.
