Base Ingredients
  • 1 cup shredded coconut Unsweetened coconut for best flavor.
  • 1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk Adjust the quantity for desired sweetness.
Coating
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Use dark, milk, or white chocolate as per preference.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine shredded coconut with sweetened condensed milk. Stir well until all the coconut is coated.
  2. Use your hands or a spoon to scoop and form small mounds of the coconut mixture, approximately 1 inch in diameter. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Cover the mounds with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
Coating
  1. Melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 30-second increments until smooth.
  2. Remove the mounds from the fridge. Dip each mound into melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated.
  3. Place the coated mounds back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Add additional toppings if desired, then refrigerate again for about 15-20 minutes until set.
Serving
  1. Once the chocolate has hardened, slice the Mounds Bar, serve, and enjoy with family and friends!

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Freeze individually wrapped for longer storage.
