Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Should be at room temperature
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs Should be at room temperature
Mix-ins
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop heaping tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden and the center looks slightly underbaked.
  2. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

Serve these cookies warm with a glass of milk or alongside your favorite ice cream. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or freeze for longer storage.
