Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, salt, and baking soda.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the butter and sugar mixture, blending until well combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chopped pecans.
  7. Scoop the dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  2. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

To maximize freshness, store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze in a freezer-safe container with parchment paper between layers.
