Marinade ingredients
  • ½ cup olive oil For a rich base flavor.
  • ¼ cup soy sauce Adds umami flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons honey To balance the saltiness of soy sauce.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced For aromatic flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice Adds acidity to brighten the flavors.
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper For mild spiciness.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Enhances the garlic flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Adds sweetness and depth.
Main ingredient
  • 4 pieces chicken breasts Skinless and boneless for best results.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, lemon juice, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag.
  3. Pour the marinade over the chicken.
  4. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for the best flavor.
Grilling
  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade.
  3. Grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until it is fully cooked.

Notes

For more intense flavor, let the chicken marinate overnight. You can also add herbs like rosemary or thyme for an extra flavor boost. Make sure your grill is preheated properly to get a nice sear on the chicken.
