Preparation
- In a large bowl, mix flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
- In a small saucepan, warm the milk, water, and butter until the butter melts.
- Add the milk mixture and eggs to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for 1 hour.
Filling and Baking
- Once risen, roll the dough into a rectangle. Spread softened butter, cinnamon, and brown sugar over the top.
- Roll the dough tightly, slice into rolls, and place them in a greased baking dish.
- Let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
Icing
- For the icing, mix powdered sugar and milk until smooth. Drizzle over the warm rolls before serving.
Notes
These cinnamon rolls are best served warm. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to a week. Freeze before icing for longer storage.
