  • 2 cups broccoli, cooked and chopped Chop the broccoli finely for better flavor.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice) Feel free to experiment with different cheese types.
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 large egg, beaten If the mixture seems too crumbly, add an extra egg.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Steam your broccoli until tender, then drain and chop finely.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped broccoli, shredded cheese, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, beaten egg, salt, and pepper. Mix everything until well combined.
  4. Using your hands, form small balls (about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter). If the mixture is too crumbly, add a bit more water or an extra egg.
  5. Place the broccoli balls on the prepared baking sheet and lightly spray the tops with olive oil.
  6. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Allow them to cool slightly before serving with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat from frozen at 375°F (190°C) for about 20-25 minutes.
