Preparation
- In a large bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- Add melted butter, salt, and eggs to the yeast mixture. Stir until well combined.
- Gradually add all-purpose flour, mixing until a sticky dough forms. Adjust flour as needed.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled.
Prepare the Filling
- In another bowl, combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and chopped strawberries. Mix until smooth.
Assembling the Rolls
- After the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
- Spread the cream cheese and strawberry mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a border.
- Roll the dough tightly from one end into a log and cut into 12 equal-sized rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
Serving
- Drizzle with strawberry sauce before serving and enjoy!
Notes
To store rolls, keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in microwave for 20-30 seconds or in oven at 350°F for 10-15 minutes.
