Preparation
- Start by washing the apples thoroughly. Core them and slice into wedges, about half an inch thick for even cooking.
- In a medium bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon. Adjust the cinnamon level according to your taste preference.
- Place the apple wedges in the bowl and drizzle with the melted butter. Toss until the apples are evenly coated with the butter and the sugar-cinnamon mixture.
Cooking
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Lay the apple wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding for even cooking.
- Cook for about 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. The apples should be golden brown and soft yet still hold their shape.
Serving
- Once done, carefully remove the apples from the air fryer. Drizzle with caramel sauce if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, use the air fryer or microwave on low to avoid mushiness.
