Ingredients
  

Crust
  • 1 cup crushed graham crackers
  • 1/2 cup melted butter butter for binding the crust
  • 1/2 cup sugar to sweeten the crust
Filling
  • 8 oz cream cheese ensure it is at room temperature for easy mixing
  • 1 cup whipped cream
Topping
  • 1 can cherry pie filling or swap for other fruit toppings as desired

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix crushed graham crackers with melted butter and half of the sugar. Press this mixture into the bottom of a 9x13 inch dish to form a crust.
  3. In another bowl, beat cream cheese with remaining sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped cream gently.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the crust in the dish.
  5. Top with cherry pie filling.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Serve chilled and optionally decorate with a cherry on top of each square. Pair with vanilla ice cream or nuts for added texture. Store leftovers in the refrigerator, covered tightly.
