  • 8 ounces egg noodles Any type of noodle can be used.
  • 1 pound ground beef Can be substituted with ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 piece bell pepper, sliced Can be swapped for other vegetables.
  • 2 stalks green onions, chopped For garnish.
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in the garlic and ginger, cooking for another minute.
  4. Add the bell pepper and cook until slightly softened.
  5. In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil. Pour this mixture over the beef and vegetables.
  6. Add the cooked noodles and toss to combine everything well.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

This dish pairs well with a side of steamed vegetables or a simple salad. For extra flavor, add red pepper flakes to taste.
