Preparation
- In a bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Set aside a small amount for glazing later.
- Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish, then pour the marinade over the chicken. Seal or cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 2 hours for a deeper flavor.
Cooking
- Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade (discarding the used marinade) and add the chicken breasts to the skillet.
- Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, until cooked through and nicely golden.
- In the last minute of cooking, brush the chicken with the reserved marinade to elevate the flavor even further.
Serving
- Once cooked, garnish with your choice of toppings and serve with rice or a fresh green salad.
Notes
For dietary restrictions, consider using coconut aminos instead of soy sauce for a soy-free alternative. Keep an eye on cooking times as they may vary based on chicken thickness. Use a meat thermometer; chicken is perfectly cooked at an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). To store leftovers, place in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
