Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats and salt. Add the melted butter or coconut oil and honey or maple syrup. Stir until well combined.
- Set aside 1 cup of the oat mixture for the topping.
- Press the remaining oat mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
- Evenly distribute the sliced strawberries over the crust.
- Sprinkle the reserved oat mixture over the strawberries and press down lightly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.
Notes
These bars can be refrigerated for up to a week or frozen for up to three months. Thaw overnight in the fridge and warm in the microwave for best texture.
