Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • 1 cup jasmine rice Rinse before cooking for best texture.
  • 2 cups beef broth Can substitute with chicken broth.
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables Such as carrots and peas.
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce Add more for a richer flavor.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil Adds a unique flavor.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions for garnish Adds freshness and crunch.

Method

Cooking
  1. In a large pan over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Toss in the minced garlic and ginger, stirring for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the jasmine rice, followed by the beef broth. Bring this mixture to a boil.
  4. Add the mixed vegetables, soy sauce, and sesame oil, and stir well.
  5. Reduce the heat to low and cover the pan. Let it simmer for about 15 minutes, or until the rice is fluffy and absorbs all the liquid.
  6. Taste and season with salt and pepper as needed.
  7. Fluff the rice with a fork, garnish with chopped green onions, and enjoy!
