Method
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the honeybun cake mix, eggs, sour cream, vegetable oil, and water. Mix until smooth and well combined.
- Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish or pan to prevent sticking.
- Pour half of the batter into the greased pan and spread it evenly.
- In a separate bowl, mix the crushed Oreos and ground cinnamon together. Sprinkle this mixture over the batter in the pan.
- Pour the remaining batter on top of the Oreo layer, spreading it out gently for an even distribution.
Baking
- Place the pan into your preheated oven and bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Finishing
- While your cake bakes, mix the melted butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth.
- Once the cake is done, remove it from the oven, and while it’s still warm, pour the glaze over the top, allowing it to soak in.
- Let it cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before slicing into it.
- Enjoy with family or at any gathering!
