  • 1 pound beef sirloin Cut into thin strips
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce For marinating the beef
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch To thicken the sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil For cooking
  • 1 medium onion Sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced
  • 2 medium bell peppers Sliced, any color
  • to taste salt For seasoning

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine the beef sirloin, soy sauce, and cornstarch. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
  2. Chop the vegetables: bell pepper, onion, and garlic.
Cooking
  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sliced onion, and sauté until fragrant and slightly soft.
  3. Add the marinated beef to the pan and cook until browned on all sides.
  4. Toss in the sliced bell pepper and cook until just tender.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Notes

Serve over steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Reheat in a skillet.
