  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce adjust according to spice preference
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by cutting the chicken breast into strips, then mince the garlic and ginger. Having everything ready will make the cooking process simple!
Sauce Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, honey, Sriracha sauce, minced garlic, and ginger. Stir until well mixed.
Cooking Chicken
  1. In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Ensure the oil is hot but not smoking.
  2. Add the chicken strips to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 5–7 minutes, turning occasionally until the chicken is cooked through and slightly browned.
Finishing Touches
  1. Reduce the heat to medium and pour the sweet and spicy sauce over the cooked chicken. Toss to coat evenly. Let it simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  2. Garnish with chopped green onions for a pop of color and flavor. Serve hot with your choice of rice or vegetables.

Notes

Substitutions for chicken breast include chicken thighs or tofu for a vegetarian option. Make sure to watch the chicken carefully as overcooking can result in dry meat. Don’t rush the sauce-making for the best texture.
