Preparation
- Spread the garlic butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
- If you’re feeling adventurous, make your own garlic butter by mixing softened butter with finely minced garlic and a pinch of salt.
Assembling and Cooking
- Place two slices of bread buttered side down in a skillet over medium heat.
- Lay two slices of cheese on top of the bread.
- Top with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side up.
- Cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until the bottom is golden brown and crisp.
- Carefully flip the sandwich over and continue to cook for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the other side is crispy.
Serving
- Remove from the skillet, season with a pinch of salt and pepper, and garnish with freshly chopped parsley if you like.
- Slice it in half to reveal that ooey-gooey cheesy goodness!
Notes
Storing and Reheating Tips: If you have leftovers, refrigerate the sandwiches in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat on a skillet over low heat or in an oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes to restore crispiness. Keep an eye on the heat while cooking to avoid burning the bread before the cheese melts.
