Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan with cooking spray or a touch of oil.
- In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until creamy and smooth.
Assembling the cake
- Spread the strawberry pie filling at the bottom of the greased pan.
- Pour the cake mix evenly over the strawberry filling without mixing.
- Dollop the cream cheese mixture over the cake mix layer and drizzle the melted butter on top.
Baking and Serving
- Bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
- Allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Top each serving with a generous scoop of whipped topping.
Notes
Store in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days; freeze portions in an airtight container for up to 2 months. Reheat individual servings in the microwave for 15-20 seconds.
